3+3+3,
2026
Silos - Unicorn Factory, Lisbon
3 + 3 + 3 is a group exhibition bringing together works in painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, and mixed media, structured around a chain-based curatorial model in which each group of artists invites the subsequent participants. The project takes the triangle as its conceptual structure: if two points define a line, three points introduce a relationship, mediation, and the possibility of orientation within space. Unlike binary logic, the number three allows for more open and expansive forms of articulation, with each position always existing in relation to the others.
Building on this structure, 3 + 3 + 3 unfolds through the passing on of the invitation from one artist to another, shifting the selection process from a single curatorial authority towards a network of affinities, proximities, and relationships of trust. More than an organisational model, this logic proposes a reflection on authorship, circulation, and the redistribution of agency within the context of contemporary art.
